The drows are known for their cruelty and evilness. They live in the underworld, in temple like caves, and have a strict
religious system. They adore the goddess Antilopa. In drows society women rule over men, being the sorceress and matriarchs of
the halls.
Physical description
The drows are medium sized humanoids. They are similar to elfs, just a bit smaller and dark-skinned feat they acquired by
living for thousands of generations beneath the earth. They are a grimson people and therefore use skull, bones and heads
for magical and religious rituals. They favor dark clothes, and piercing or slashing weapons.
Relations
Drows are allies to the shakul. They have aided them in many ways, and have earned the word of alliance by the parasite
race, but are not fully trusted by none of the races in the world. Orcs see no threat in drows, and drows like to keep it
that way, this truce has proved to profitable for both races that are engaged in war with all other civilized peoples in the
world.
Alignment
Drows are ALWAYS of evil alignment, and are disliked by almost every race for this. They can be Lawful (in the case of a
assassin), chaotic (in the case of a berserker sorceress), and neural (in the case of a warrior, for example).
Religion
Drows worship the goddess Antilopa, a dark deity that likes to be given sacrifices to her name. She is bound to protect
every single drow from the menace of the weak hearted enemies, and to bless every strike made by her minions. Only drow
women can become clerics, sorceress or priestess of Antilopa, for she allows only the ones similar to her to reach such status.
Language
Drows talk common (English) and drow, with is a arcane variant of elfic.
Culture
The drows unlike most races, have a culture based on women, divided by halls (houses, tribes). By the adoring of antilopa,
women take the most important part in the society. Drows cleric’s are bound to enforce the will of Antilopa, Sorceress are
mages that exel in the use of Antilopa's dark magic (necromancy) and therefore are in the rear of any drow army striking fear
in the hearts of the enemy. Priestess are the ones in contact with the word of Antilopa, they are blessed and respected by
every member of the drow society, priestess tend to become the matriarch of a drow Hall, and leaders of the society. When a
subject reaches such importance that it affects the whole race and not only one hall, every matriarch of every hall gather
in a meeting, deciding what is best for the people... always with the aid of Antilopa.
On the other hand, men in the drow society are the warriors that battle in the wars of the underground. They are not very
strong, but exel in the use of two weapons in combat, taking a dexterous way of fighting. Elite warriors can become assassins.
Drow assassins are feared in the world, for their skill and poisons, that make them a very hard hitting foe to face in a one
to one combat, but in battle like situations they tend to hide for the right moment to strike, for their fragile nature
wouldn’t let them last long against a pair of broad swords, for example.
History
First there were the elfs, civilized and benevolent, the gathered in forests praising nature above all. But by the appearance
of a dark glowing charm some of these elfs became corrupted. The charm had a form of a Snake like women dark and graceful.
Seeing their brother become dark, the elfs banned the stone to the underground and with this, a large number of elfs followed,
lured by its powers. The ones who remained pure in heart, had let their, once brothers, leave without harm. For ages they
where unspotted, and though to be dead. But when the underground became to be explored by adventures, rumors began to string
through the land. A dark race of immeasurable cruelty. They were called Drow, or dark elfs. Since then, elfs are trying to
deliver eternal peace to their former brothers, with wars and deceit the drows have always managed to survive, and even strike
back. Today they are as strong as ever.
